Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-30 · Polaris AI Chat & Assistant by Polaris AI Chat & Assistant
Have a question about your privacy? Good, that is exactly the kind of question worth asking. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use Polaris AI Chat & Assistant (the app), which is provided by Polaris AI Chat & Assistant (we, us). We have tried to be clear about what we do, what we don't do, and where our knowledge stops. This policy is effective as of 2026-10-30.
Start here: no accounts, no sign-in
Polaris does not ask you to create an account or sign in. There is no profile, username or password connected to you inside the app. That shapes most of what follows: we are not building a personal file about you, and we have no account system to link your conversations to your identity.
What happens when you ask something
When you type a question or follow-up, your message is sent to our own backend servers, where the response is generated and sent back to you. We use our own infrastructure for this, so your prompts and the replies to them are processed by us rather than handed to a separate AI provider. Please keep in mind that anything you choose to type is content you are sharing with us for processing. If a detail feels too personal to share, such as health records, financial account numbers or someone else's private information, it is reasonable to leave it out or phrase your question more generally.
What we collect, and what we leave alone
We handle the information needed to make the app work: the messages you send and the responses generated for them, plus limited technical and purchase-related information needed to confirm whether you have an active subscription. Because there are no accounts, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or password through sign-up. We do not ask for your contacts, photos or precise location to run conversations. Payment card details are never handled by us; they stay with Apple.
The outside services involved, and why
Two third-party services play a part. Apple App Store: Apple distributes the app and processes all purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles your payment details and billing under its own privacy policy. Adapty: when used, Adapty helps us track subscription status and related analytics, for example whether a subscription is active, renewed or cancelled, so we can unlock the right features and understand how subscriptions are working overall. Adapty processes this information under its own privacy terms. We encourage you to read Apple's and Adapty's policies if you want the full picture of how they handle data.
Purchases and subscriptions
Every purchase and subscription in Polaris goes through Apple. Apple charges you, manages renewals and handles refunds according to its rules. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, with Adapty's help where used, but we do not see or store your card number or billing address.
How long information stays around
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the app, generate responses, maintain subscription access, meet legal obligations and keep the service secure and working. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, we aim to delete it or make it non-identifying. Information held by Apple or Adapty is kept according to their own retention practices.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold that relates to you, and you can ask us to delete it. Because Polaris has no accounts, we may need a little help from you to locate the right information, and in some cases we may not be able to connect stored data to a specific person. We will be honest with you about what we can and cannot find. For purchase history or payment information, Apple is the right place to ask, and you can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respect them.
When things change
If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date and, where the changes are meaningful, let you know within the app or through its App Store listing. Continuing to use Polaris after an update means the new version applies.
